According to Abdul Rahman, a sales executive at the bakery, the pastries were introduced just a few days ago, but the response has been overwhelming. “Ever since we launched them, we have been receiving good orders. Customers love the combination of kunafa and pistachios and the softness of a freshly baked croissant,” he said.
The pastries have become particularly popular for gatherings. “People aren’t just buying them for themselves. They are ordering in bulk for family events and celebrations. It’s something new and exciting, and they want to share it,” added Abdul Rahman.

Supermarkets in the UAE have also stocked pistachio kunafa-filled doughnuts, which have become a hit. A salesman at Lulu Supermarket in Al Nahda, Sharjah, said the doughnuts gained popularity in no time.
“We introduced these a few months ago, and they have been flying off the shelves. Customers love the combination of kunafa, smooth pistachio cream, and the soft, fluffy texture of a doughnut,” he said.
Many shoppers who first bought them out of curiosity have turned into regulars. “It’s different from your usual doughnut. It has that crunchy kunafa layer and creamy pistachio centre. People keep coming back for more,” he added.
Some websites are offering pistachio kunafa cakes, which have quickly become a crowd favorite. The new dessert offers the ultimate satisfaction to those with a sweet tooth.
Manzoor Hamdan, a resident of Al Nahda, ordered the pistachio kunafa cake online for Eid after watching the video on social media.
"I had been a fan of the since it was introduced in the market. While browsing on social media, I came across the pistachio kunafa cake and ordered it online for Eid al Fitr. It was delicious," said Hamdan.
"The combination of the kunafa and the creamy pistachio filling was just perfect. It was rich and every bite was fulfilling. It is worth the hype," he added.

Jugal Parekh, managing partner at Yummy Dosa, said that the response has been overwhelming. “We had a great following for our chocolate dosa, so merging these flavors felt like a natural step. The feedback has been incredible and people love the mix of crispy, gooey, nutty, and slightly salty flavors,” he said.
“Seeing people share their reactions online has been so rewarding. We are always experimenting, so this is just the beginning. You can expect even more fun fusions from us soon,” Jugal added.
